We started this website when we moved to the Lake Como area. As new expats, we found ourselves craving local news and updates but faced a language barrier. That’s when the idea for Lago di Como.Today was born – a place where English-speaking residents and visitors could stay informed about local happenings.

We curate and translate important news and updates from Italian sources, making them accessible to the English-speaking community. Our goal is to help you:

How We Do It
Lago di Como.Today use AI (OpenAI) to retrieve, read, select and translate news. As we do not want to infringe on copyright, all articles refer back to the original story. For the same reason we do not use any existing photos or illustrations but create our own with the AI model DALL-E 3. We think the illustrations give Lago di Como.Today a unique style.
