World Premiere of “Ternura” on Lake Como
This Sunday, August 4th, Bene Lario will host the world premiere of the recital “Ternura”. The performance features texts by Gabriela Mistral, the first woman from South America to win a Nobel Prize in Literature, and music by Eleodoro Ortiz de Zárate, the composer of the first Chilean opera.
The rediscovered scores were found by singer and researcher Javiera Tapia, who has played a pivotal role in bringing this unique cultural event to life. Tapia’s dedication to unearthing these pieces has given audiences a rare opportunity to experience a blend of South American literary and musical heritage.
